If you know the name of the ship on which you ancesstor arrived, or the data of arrival at Ellis Island, you can now go to images of the pages to read the names of the passengers for yourself. Mr. Morse and a group of volunteers have gone through all 3,700 rolls of fiml 1892-1924 - 84,000 ships in all - and has provided a link from that to every ship to their manifest pages. Because of the misspelings of names by indexers, researchers have been frustrated in the past but perhaps you can identify your ancestor when the indexer could not.
